Until I read an article about this earlier today, I did not know that the Georgia bulldog was copied from Yale. So they stole their mascot from Yale, their logo from the Green Bay Packers, they named their band after the British Redcoats and they play the fight song from the Union Army. Bravo, leghumpers. Good work.

Tennessee got Down the Field from Yale too I believe, and I believe Oklahoma's fight song was taken from them.

Ole Miss took Harvard crimson and Yale blue as its colors. Teams borrowed a lot from established schools back in the early days of college football.
