Cal is exactly what you, I, and several other posters said they were. We see how impressive blowing us out is now.

All together now class: CAL is a FRAUD. I would hope nobody falls for their act again.

they lost to the only two good defenses they've played.. oregon state had the #1 rush defense in the country and ucla's is very good. ucla has lost stupid games because they have horrible coaching.

and overhyped... hard to take that seriously when the #1 team in the country would have 3 or 4 losses already with cals schedule and hasnt been too impressive over the two decent teams they've played (and decent is generous).

the media lives on hyping things so i doubt that will change ;) thats why all these preseason and weekly polls are so stupid. even if you keep the stupid bcs system; just let the season play out and then figure out who is the best....

this is cals MO. they either look great or they choke.

i called this for ucla before the game. ucla recruits incredibly well, and has talent. occasionally good enough to overcome the poor coaching.

if ucla had some decent coaching, they'd be a powerhouse with the level of talent they recruit.

you do realize the combined record of teams that Cal beat is 13-19 right?

Not exactly the kind of record you want to compare...

i dont follow your point as it relates to what i said other then that you are restating that cal was overrated, which at this point is something i agree with...

I bashed on the Pac 10 all until last year and I'm glad I quit because it really is the 2nd toughest conference in the country.

Just saying, it's not like you've played stellar competition. What makes you think tOSU would lose more games than Cal has against the same lackluster competition.

only undefeated left in the pac10 is arizona state (though ucla is undefeated in conf play). neither will be undefeated at the end of the season.

in the sec its almost impossibly tough to escape without a loss, pac10 is slowly becoming that way. its going to make the bcs even stupider when the top two teams are always from weak conferences because they are the only place teams can survive without a loss.

id pick tenn and oregon over ohio state any day of the week. arizona, osu, ucla are all easily better teams then anyone they've played.

latech and colostate drag down the opp record, 4 and 6 losses respectively.

They may be better than the teams they've played, but that doesn't mean they'd lose. They've easily handled the weaker teams without a struggle which shows that they're focused and not overlooking each opponent, which points to good coaching.

I think it's a great stretch to say they'd lose 3-4 of those.

I don't think I'd pick UT over tOSU at this point if I had money riding on it.

Ohio State would set Tennessee on fire. You saw today what happens when Tennessee plays a team with a competent, fundamentally sound coaching staff.
