Yeah, it's obviously a slow summer to be starting threads like this, but it is a pretty neat event. Yes, I know everyone hates Kentucky, etc etc etc. Calipari will be coaching the Dominican National team next year, and he is bringing them in for a scrimmage at Rupp against a who's who of former Cats. A neat angle to this is that Cal will coach his team while Joe B. Hall and Sam Bowie coach the Cats team, which will be as humorous as Halls radio show.

Here is the UK Roster:

Eric Bledsoe
Keith Bogans
DeMarcus Cousins
Jodie Meeks
Nazr Mohammed
Tayshaun Prince
Rajon Rondo
John Wall

I hate Kentucky, but the fact that half of that group is NBA All-Star team caliber really is impressive.

The NCAA is gay. They came down with a few heavy handed decisions about the game:

1. There could be no mention in the advertising that "Former Kentucky Players" will be playing. Stupid.
2. The game cannot be televised in any form.
3. Joe B. Hall may not coach the UK Legends team. Seriously? He's 82.

They sold 10,000 tickets in the first 15 minutes. This is gonna be fun.

Here's the hypocrisy of the NCAA.

1. Hall is 82 and hasn't coached in over 25 years
2. UK does NOT own Rupp, Lexington does
3. The UK players are former players
4. NCAA says former players can play but a former coach
can't coach - how ridiculous is that?
5. Didn't know the NCAA had the jurisdiction to tell a network they can't carry an expediton between a foreign national team and a pro team in a building owned by a city where a retired coach will coach the pros.

Imagine Phil coming back to coach Peyton in the Titans stadium against a Canadian team and the NCAA having an issue with it?

You are going to have a tough time finding someone to argue any of the above with you in rational circles.

Dude this is Volnation where rationale is often confused with racism or socialism or any other dumb ass ism. If there is any place where someone could find some fault with this its here

Word is, the AA' is actually about to reverse their decision on Joe B. I will believe it when I see it.

Only player I like on the Kitten roster is Prince. Always liked watching him in college. Get Ricky P to coach 'em.
