Boring.

I was expecting a detailed, game-by-game breakdown when I clicked on this thread.

watched a little of BB madness...UK will only play like 6 guys and those guys only 2 or 3 of them will be worth anything the freshman prothos and the 1 from NJ and maybe wilshir(sp) nowhere near as good as last years team

IMO, 7 losses is likely. I don't think UK will win the conference this year and will place 2nd or 3rd.

Doubtful.

Potential losses for Kentucky are Duke, ND, Baylor, Louisville, and maybe they drop one SEC game.
They're dropping more SEC games than just one.

Potential losses are Duke, @ND, Baylor, @Louisville, Tennessee, @Alabama, @Ole Miss, @Florida, @Tennessee, Missouri, @Arkansas, and Florida.

I think they'll drop two of those non-conference games and four of the conference games.

In the past seven seasons, Calipari has only lost more than four games once (2010-11). While it is possible that Kentucky loses seven, I would not put money on it.

This team is most comparable to the 2010-11 team (you can't compare Kentucky playing in the SEC to Memphis playing in the C-USA). The class is still #1, but it's not an obvious #1 class like 2011 and 2009. There are no proven returnees. I would definitely put money on it.

Adding Mizzou and A & M sucks for the 2 game slate that the East and West teams would play against each other. That'll take some getting used to.

If UK bounces back from losing at home to UT, to thump UT on the road, then UK will not go on to lose two more games at home down the stretch. Under that scenario, either UT completes the sweep, or UK turns the corner and keeps rolling from there. I might believe the rest of the predictions if the second UT game is close. But, blowing UT out in Knoxville would be worth a lot - enough to avoid more home court losses.

I don't think this year's UK team is very good but I think the landscape of college basketball is down this year. UNC/Duke aren't very good, maybe UCLA could make noise if Shabazz gets eligible (doubtful) I think this is a year where UT could make some noise - I would be surprised if they didn't earn a bye in the SECT.

I have UK losing 4 games before the SECT:

Maryland (first game of the season - Noel likely will be sitting out)

@Louisville (if the game were played in March I think UK would win but in December I give the edge to UofL especially at home).

@Florida: UF should be pretty good, the crowd is usually rocking when UK comes to town so that could impact a young team.

@Tennessee: Cal's first back-to-back loss? Perhaps he lost back-to-back 2 years ago. I think UT has the second best team in the SEC and they've been due an upset over Cal's team - I think they get it at home this year.

I hope they win them all by 50 but I guess I can wait 1 year for that.
