Surprised by this. Not disappointed though. Offense showed flashes but play calling sucked a lot.

Troy should be interesting job. He was there for a few years and they had some good offenses.

Not surprised at all. He turned down another HC shot when he came here 2 years ago. We really didn't see the success that we hoped for from the Air Raid, but I think that it just doesn't work in today's SEC.

This will be Stoops' chance to install the kind of offense that he wants. He was pressured to hire Brown, I think. They did not always see eye to eye.

All my ky family and friends are glad he's leaving.

Good for him. Do all cat fans think Coach Stoops will promote from within, or outside to get an OC? Any names you can think of to throw out there as a possible replacement?

I think he goes outside. No names come to mind at the moment, but I would expect a balanced offensive scheme, knowing Stoops. He was always wary of short drives, needed to rest the defense.

I don't blame him at all. Like Frank Broyles told Johnny Majors in 1968(before JM took the Iowa State job),he said if you want to be a head coach you have to jump in with both feet when offered the job.
