UK still in the tourney.....

On the womens side that is. :) 4 seed UK womens program up 19 on the #1 seed Nebraska, with a trip to the elite 8 on the line. For anyone who knows our womens program, this is obviously a HUGE accomplishment. Something I just felt like pointing out on a slow night.

Am I reaching out and living the UK dream through the womens program because the men fell short? No. Fact is that even if they made it to the Final four they will still get beaten by 30 against UConn. Just felt like giving them some props. I needed something to focus on with both UT and UK out of the tournament.

Another branch of the Pat Summitt coaching tree is growing in Matthew Mitchell. I guess UK can take a little pride in the fact that they are going further in this year's tournament than the Lady Vols did.

Yeah. Everyone really hoped that they could take one from UT this year, but it wasn't in the cards. But they played them good, and beat several ranked teams this year. For the womens program, it truly is a breakout season. Coach Mitchell has a really good system going and the girls really buy into it.

up 14 now with 5 to play.

Great season regardless.

So the Vols' make it further than the Lady Vols, and the Lady Cats can make it further than the men....

What a season.
