My guess is they have maybe 1 or 2 students just so this is not a "basketball" dorm. Can a school even have a dorm building dedicated to one sport or just athletics?
Under current bylaws, no student housingnot even a particular floor or wingcan have more than 49% athletes. Athletic dorms were eliminated in 1991.
Nice facility for UK. I'll bet UK's one and done multi-millionaries are just fine being integrated with the general student population.
Question, are students who help with video, video breakdown, team managers, and equipment managers considered student athletes? If not they just move them into the dorm to help them get around the rule.
You can bet that the 15 or so nonathletes students that live there are controlled by the bb program. The NCAA will be far from happy about this. Even the sink is made specifically. I hope a student that happens to be tall cries foul and demands his sink to be custom made in other dorms. Genius by Cal to get this done but it clearly violates the spirit of the NCAA rule.
