And people wonder why guys like Randall Cobb trash Kentucky and their AD. Cal gets hooked up by donors but they can't even hire a decent football coach.

lol....

Also, Cal could have tents put up off of 75 and still get top recruits. Nice building though.

which serves as the dormitory for UK’s men’s basketball team in addition to other UK students.
My guess is they have maybe 1 or 2 students just so this is not a "basketball" dorm. Can a school even have a dorm building dedicated to one sport or just athletics?

I believe so. I think eastern Kentucky has a dorm just for sports. So they can monitor their curfew and other activities

meanwhile joker philips is just SMH the whole time it was being built

I think I heard him weeping in the background somewhere.

It's a nice building, but contrast this with their adorable football stadium and you can't help but laugh.

Under current bylaws, no student housing—not even a particular floor or wing—can have more than 49% athletes. Athletic dorms were eliminated in 1991.

Nice facility for UK. I'll bet UK's one and done multi-millionaries are just fine being integrated with the general student population.

You can bet that the 15 or so nonathletes students that live there are controlled by the bb program. The NCAA will be far from happy about this. Even the sink is made specifically. I hope a student that happens to be tall cries foul and demands his sink to be custom made in other dorms. Genius by Cal to get this done but it clearly violates the spirit of the NCAA rule.

Question, are students who help with video, video breakdown, team managers, and equipment managers considered student athletes? If not they just move them into the dorm to help them get around the rule.

I am certain you are on to something. Managers and student trainers along with family members of the donors that built that building are the ones living there. No chance any "regular" student lives there.
