Game Notes
UMASS returns 4 starters and pretty much all of it's production from last years team that reached the NIT final four. For those that haven't seen Williams play, just wait until he lights us up today. Not trying to be negative, but this kid is amazing and is a lot better than the Okie State guard. This kid's 5'7 / 5'8 from Brooklyn.
He's extremely tough and will have his way if he makes it into the paint.

If we take this game we win 2 of 3 in the tournament and that is where I thought we'd be anyway because NC State seems to be the best team here unless we have Maymon then we can compete.

Exactly.

And UMASS is no garbage team, a win over them, and coming home 3-1 is fine with me.

I think everyone plays better on offense and defense. I haven't seen Umass play this year but I hope we can put it to them for 40 minutes.

I like Derek Kellog as a person and he is a ok coach, but I feel UT runs away with this one guys... Just my thoughts.

Hate to say it, but I sense Dead Vols Walking in Puerto Rico.
Haven't seen anything to make me feel optimistic yet.

If we jack up 3's even though we're not hitting them, we're not going to beat most teams until Maymon returns. We are sorry inside because except for Stokes, we don't have any players willing to play physical. Our guard play must improve as well. UMass could easily take us to the woodshed tomorrow.

UMass is a good team, probably a tourney team this season. A win over them is nothing to scoff at. They may be a better team than Okie State.

They will try and open it up. It will definitely be a discipline check for Martin's squad. I've got the popcorn ready.

Feeling better, double digit victory today?

Slightly definitely pleased being 3 and 1.......loved the changes in how he was getting stokes the ball in different positions and the intensity.....hopefully we will play with that much intensity and develop consistency.
