Barrett Carter at Clemson already has said he is coming back.... AND HERE IS THE REAL SHOCKER..... MARVIN HARRISON JR. Although he is still undecided he made it known that it is 50/50 he will return on numerous podcasts interviewing him. He is already a 1st pick (depending on whether Chicago stays with Fields) or 2nd pick (which is the highest WR pick since Calvin Johnson). Says you can only experience college once and he has numerous agendas he wants to accomplish, mainly winning the BIG10 and more importantly, beating Michigan. Said he loves the college experience. Still, sacrificing a guaranteed 30M contract for around 1-3M is a bit much. He is already a legend at OSU and imagine what it will be if he does return.

MHJ isn't coming back, he is playing politics with the fanbase but he isn't passing up top 3 pick money.

I think with NIL, you’ll see many players choose to stay in college when they would have left if they were not having opportunities to earn that money without going pro.

MJH and Peyton could afford to come back as they had high profile fathers with an affluent lifestyle.

All this is true, NIL changes things but that's for like late first and beyond. And Harrison probably isn't broke but still you don't turn down top 3 pick money. He already isn't playing in the bowl game, that should tell you all you need to know.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has been offered NIL deals that would “compete” with what he would receive as a Top 5 draft pick, as in anywhere between $20-$25 million in total cash.

Harrison is still thinking about coming back to Ohio State, as he wants to beat Michigan and win a Big Ten Championship.

yeah its a bit of different situation if you already have several million dollars in your pocket vs having no money in your pocket looking at the first round.

he may really love college football/OSU. stranger things have happened.
He may just want to get a title/beat Michigan.

he may not be worried about injury. especially with the insurance policies schools can take for players.

I agree with everything you say..... I read just recently that the NIL amount that they think he would get is comparable to a late 1st round pick.... If that is the case I'd jump at it.... This kid is so good that NFL scouts say he is the best since Calvin Johnson, and with character to match.

Marvin Harrison Jr SHOULD go to the NFL and I believe he will. Even if he got a $20M NIL deal, he'd be delaying that SECOND NFL contract by a year which is where the really big NFL money comes from.

Anyone advising him should tell him to look at his entire "shelf life" as a player. If he lasts 20 years, overall including pro and college, he's actually taking the "short money" on the front of his career when he should be thinking of the likely "long money" on the end of his career.

Don't waste a year in college that you could be playing in the NFL. Ever.
