They just showed highlights from the Tennessee / Georgia game on ESPN and they showed Wingate getting his shot blocked, UGA guy making a three, CJ air ball and put back and Lofton making an assist. Then they just nonchalantly mentioned that Lofton had 33 points and that was it.

Now why would they not show Lofton at least making a couple of threes? The ESPN thing continues in my mind. :realmad:

I noticed that as well...but what are you going to do? They did show Pearl shaking hands with Felton...that was a highlight I suppose :hmm:

Lofton scored 33 points and was 9/12 from la la land and all they could show was him making a pass?? Chris Lofton deserves some National exposure.

It might not be ESPN's fault. My second guess would be some disappointed bulldog fan that put the highlight tape together.

Until recently CBP has been a favorite it seems. Apparently something new has happened like a refusal for an interview or some other offense....causeing ESPN to show CBP/Tennessee in an unfavorable perspective.

Maybe, maybe not. I think that they've fallen in love with George Washington. GW is their cinderella story now.

Is there a chance that we could play GW in the tourney? I would love to crush their Cinderella team and yes, I think we could handle them.

From what Ive seen our boys can play with anyone. Call it homeristic if you like....I'd LOVE to watch the Vols take the floor with Duke.

A lot of it is probably due to the fact that the game was not televised, so the highlights were probably limited.

I know, but come on. The kid drained nine 3's. Surely one of them was caught on tape. They certainly don't have a shortage of JJ shooting the 3.

There are times when ESPN shows some good things and mentions some good items but other times its terrible. Hey, at least we have a "W!" One less battle to worry about. Now 18-3 and two teams above us in the rankings lost-YES! Could move up to at least 11th or 12th.

During the Highlights(or lack of) I heard Digger want to say something about Lofton hitting a 3 but they never showed the highlight :dunno: Maybe the boys back at Bristol messed up the highlight reel.

Typical ESPN thread. :D

I just heard Dick Vitale and whoever that is doing play by play with him for the Gonzaga game giving love to PEarl and the Vols. They must not have gotten the company memo.

Eh, UT still won, Lofton is still ridiculous, the Vols are 18-3, and will be in the top 10 next week. Life is good.

Speaking of George Washington though, they're in our boat, except they were expected to have a decent to great year. I don't think I've seen them play once this year, just seen'em sparingly in highlights.
