UNC Asheville punches their ticket: Did our RPI just get a bump?

They knocked off VMI in the Big South tournament finals today 80-68. When we played these guys in December and eeked a 72-68 win out, who would have thought we would possibly see that as a boost to our resume.

Still, we need to beat Vandy and at least two others to have any chance.

It does help us a little, but not that much. They have 24 wins, but UNCA's strength of schedule is too low for them to add much value for us in the RPI system. We helped ourselves a lot more by disinfecting the CommodeOdors in the TBA today than UNCA could help us.

Yeah, their RPI was something like 109 going into action today. Not exactly a win the get all giddy about. Nevertheless, it is a win we got over a NCAA tournament-bound team.
