Yep good movie.. I've worked and served in that area of Memphis, those kids don't hardly have a chance..

It's a really thought provoking flick. The Coach came out after the Ferguson Riots and said the culture has to want to change itself and that people like him from the outside make no difference. That's a sad thought.

Yeah that's disappointing that he would say that when many times a good teacher or coach is all these kids have to show them that they can escape that culture.

It was a good doc, I wonder what happened to Chavis, O.C., and Money?

I am glad that I read this thread. Watched this film on Sunday. Very moving and really enjoyed it. Not going to ruin it for those who haven't seen it, but the best part for me was when the coach calls Money over with the good news. That made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
