Undefeated Liberty loses to winless Kennesaw State

Kennesaw did pretty well in the FCS. They have not adjusted to life in FBS yet. Bohannan also has not shed Kennesaw of the Triple Option, or upgraded ala Jamie Chadwell Style. Bohannan was a Paul Johnson disciple and followed him everywhere until he got the Kennesaw job. Their first and only HC thus far.

LOL, no.

And they were barely getting votes anyway.
Liberty was favored 25.5 over KSU, while Alabama was favored 22.5 over Vandy, so it quite literally was a bigger upset. Kennesaw was 0-5, had never beat an FBS program in history, and had 3 wins last year over a D2 school and two schools who aren’t even affiliated with the NCAA.

The problem is they went from FCS to FBS very quickly. They've only had a program since 2015.

Yep. Very Quickly. Too quick. Not sure what the rush was. But, it is a rather large school and they absorbed Southern Tech down the road to add a instant and well regarded engineering program. I follow Kennesaw because coach Brian is the son of my HS football coach Lloyd Bohannon. Brian ran around as a toddler back then.

Saw a post on Reddit showing the biggest upsets, but did some research and it looks like NIU vs ND was the largest spread upset of the year with a 28.5 difference.

Bama was a 23.5 favorite, Liberty was a 27.5 favorite.
