Some of them will be. If enough of them are, then we spend 2019 applauding CBJs ability to spot talent. I'm hopeful.

Our 3 stars have 5 stars hearts and bleed orange. You can't put a star ranking on that

All our 3 stars are going to be like Can Sutton.

Why are all vol fans in bama insufferable? Hold on too tight?

Don't be too hard on them. I lived in Kentucky during the Wade Houston era in hoops. Football season was the only time I had any peace. Living in enemy territory requires scraping for any advantage (however insignificant) you can get.

some of the points in that article are really broad.

#5 is better than #35, no isht. no one is arguing that. we were from #11 to #17 hardly 35.

then they measure success two different ways using two different metrics. Rankings vs NFL success and rankings vs individual college success. neither of which directly relates to college team success, what we ultimately care about. NFL success is completely separate from the matter at hand. the other metric they use is All American or starter. you can easily have 5* starters who don't amount to much and they would count that as success.

and lastly they go over recruiting rankings with 12 of the top 20 recruiters being in the Top 20 AP rankings. is this Anchorman? 60% of the time it works every time? it also ignores a lot of outside factors like coaching changes and the like. Kiffins highly rated classes did jack because they disappeared.

if they really wanted to prove the benefit of signing day mattering they would reevaluate their rankings down the road. If 6 5 stars are in your class and never play a down and you still end up ranked high they say that proves their case, when in reality it doesn't. and they could also get more specific than saying #5 is better than #35 and here is the proof. why not show that #5 is better than #15, or 10 or 8? the reason they dont is probably because it is way too much work and there are other factors that goes beyond the stars. and the fact that Bama hasn't won every single national championship during their run of #1s. especially as it was an average recruiting ranking of #11 or so that beat #1 Bama.

stars matter, to a point.

He may be able to spot it, but developing it is another story...

CBJ is not the only one responsible for developing our players! That's why we have position coaches! LOL at the ignorance or just plain hating on CBJ for Player Development.
