OK throwing this out there for discussion, but keep in mind I don't know the rules about what road teams are allowed to wear (SEC rules or NCAA either one):

I loved the smokey gray unis. I know I wasn't supposed to, I'm certainly not their target audience, but dang every time I see a pic from that game the orange trim really pops in contrast to the gray and the unis are so sharp. Looks like our players are made out of steel. But home games are about ORANGE. Lots of it. So I'm wondering about a compromise where we keep two sets of raod uniforms that we can swap out based on who we're playing and how dark their colors are:

1) Primary road unis: All white (Stormtroopers)
2) Alternate road unis: Smokey Gray (Vols of Steel? Terminators? Needs a name...)

The grays would be tough to use against Georgia at Athens or Vanderbilt at the Franklin Shiny Dome, for example, but at LSU, KY or Bama they shouldn't cause any color confusion. It would be nice to bring them out once or twice a year.

Thoughts? Opinions? Some rules knowledge to drop?

I've seen some people mention a white top with the smokey gray pants. Id like to see that so I could decide if I liked it or not. Any photoshop gurus out there that could do that?

We need more alternatives...... Added the grey this year and loved it! I say keep in the rotation and add another one next season.

This is a heated debate by most however.... Some only want the traditional Orange and White while other agree the various alternative is the way to go. I agree with the latter--Kids today want these options. Helps get recruits IMO.

I'd love to see a white with grey and orange for the road..... I'd also love to see a few different helmet styles. JMO.

GO VOLS!!!

Yeah there must be some pretty good photoshop possibilities here, for those who have that skill. I'd like to see variations with inverted helmet colors, like orange helmets with white stripes and power T, etc. Maybe even a smokey gray helmet. For fun, I mean, not to stroke out some of the more traditionalist posters on here. ha
