Not to mention a huge blow to Ohio's ability to close its defecit.

The same people who decry corporations' influence on the political process will never see the irony here.

the main reason the bill failed is that it included police and firefighters, two groups excluded in the Wisconsin legislation.

by the way.... the rejection of Obamacare had more support than the rejection of Kasich's bill.

by a few votes, but since obamacare was declared constitutional this law is symbolic anyway. obama should take notice though that most americans don't want this, but at the sametime something has to be done.

obamacare is going to the supreme court.

but it's clear what people in this swing state think of Obama's defining bill. Clearly a bad sign for Obama

i would say it is about 50-50 right now. repubs had a landslide victory till kasich was elected. now i think obama and brown (senate) have a better than average chance of winning the state. kasich is so radical that most people are worried about what the repubs might do. me being one.

Kasich has no significant bearing on the Presidential race. It's the other way around.

Kasich is radical because he wants union members to foot part of the bill for their retirement and medical coverage instead of forcing the taxpayers of Ohio to foot the entire bill?

true that, also the guy has done a big nothing since being elected. you have to agree though empire that with kasich's arrival that his stock got a big boost which wouldn't have happened if kasich wasn't there. i would have said before kasich he was 30 percent at best to get re elected. now i would say 50 50 and pickem. hell kasich's approval rating is below 30%, he is beating strickland's numbers.

the bill would have failed in wisconsin to if it was able to be put on the ballot. both gov's are a big one and done.

Ultimately... people get the gov't they deserve by rejecting something better. The rejection is often based on nothing more than honesty about the need to change or make sacrifice.

I am not sure why anyone would celebrate Ohio's vote to predestine themselves to economic decline.

I have no idea what it's about, but there was a HUGE push to vote "No". It was all over TV and campus.

Basically Ohio is fine with being bankrupt and wallowing in their old stench like the damn Greeks. Have at it Ohio, just don't call for the rest of US taxpayers to bail your dumbasses out.

:salute:

have you read the news that school districts in WI are beginning to show financial solvency due to the fact that teachers are no longer being forced to purchase health insurance "provided" by the union?
