I read the story and my weird mind instantly thought about how gory the scene inside that house must be.

I remembered beheading a deer last year while skinning it and even using a saw it was tough work getting through the throat and spine. This sicko did it with a butcher knife.

Yep! Guns, Knives, poison, sometimes cars, staircases. We don't go that barbaric extra mile of decapitation though, typically. That's just tiresome and unnecessary. We aim to just kill, not to take home trophies like the Predator.
