I was going to start a thread but it will fit in fine with this one:::
Hubbs from dyer tn.
I live 45 minutes away and work with one his dads friends. Apparently Cuonzo has been ALL over this kid . He sees him almost weekly. Coach Martin is putting alot of stock in landing Hubbs. Other schools are showing interest. Hubbs has family close to miss state so they are on his mind. Coach calipari came to see him recently and that was very impressive and excited Hubbs. He doesn't appear to have made a decision yet but we would probably be considered the favorite at this point because of Cuonzo's persistence and Hubbs feels comfortable with the vols

I feel good about the first 2, the news lately on jw3 has been positive as well. Pull those 3 and we'd be in very good shape in the post.

Hubbs is from Dyer Co. High School which is in Newbern, TN. It's where I grew up and my old high school. Here's a recent article about Hubbs that was in our local newspaper. Sounds like a good kid.

Thanks for posting, great read. I like that he wants to committ prior to senior year, I believe Nichols is the same way. If we could get both those guys committed early on that'd be huge IMO.

Give the staff lots of time to work on 1 or 2 other guys, and for Nichols and hubbs to also help recruit some guys as well.

Ready for this next month to pass by!!!

BTNO, I agree about scout being better for basketball. That being said, how Crawford is not listed is absurd IMO. If Hubbs keeps this trend up, he'll be a top 2-3 player by the final class ranking.

Scout only goes to 100, and rivals has him at 86, so my guess is he's just outside of scouts top 100.

As for Hubbs, it'll be hard to crack the top 3, those guys are damn good(not saying hubbs isn't). I could see him climbing a little more, maybe up to 8 or so, but not too much more. There's not much Aau left, and high school seasons don't have as big of a an effect on rankings.

I personally hope he stays outside the top 10, hopefully that'll keep UK from offering him early which is when he's wanting to committ.
