Great work! Amazing how much red there is on that spreadsheeet!

Raises the argument maybe a host of 3-stars that actually play all four years may be more beneficial than a team full of 4-star and 5-star wash-outs/transfers/dismissals/early draftees.

3 stars bail at they same rate. around 40% over the course of a signing class.

True, and 3 stars can be serviceable but mostly aren't 'stars'. We can all mention 3 stars that did become a star but for every 1 that you mention I can mention 100 that isn't. You have to acknowledge 80% of your class can't be 3 stars. Not in the SEC. Iowa, maybe.

Not sure if there is anyway to tell but I wonder if the attrition rate is the same for EE's. I would assume it's less.
