Really curious to hear how they are adjusting, and any impressions. Heard there was some cutire shock early on, but that's it. Any word?? I'll hang up and listen...

Zasnow would be the man to answer this. I would like to know as well. It was Vincent Dallas, Brendan Downs, and someone else right?

Newcomers Vincent Dallas and Brendan Downs did not practice on Monday as the Vols moved into the game plan mode of bowl preparations. When asked about them, Dooley simply said that they "went home."

The reason they are no longer practice is because the team is now in game prep and they will not see any reps, so they are spending the holidays with their families and will be back for the game.

Both practiced last week and fit in nicely. No real updates. Coaches were impressed with Dallas' agility - he will wear No. 4 when the season starts.

just those three the only one still there is crowder. dallas had wiggle but needs a weight room. downs stuck his nose in there, and crowder did ok. all were wide eyed. i think that is the short version.

"New Guys Go Home: Tight end Brendan Downs and wide receiver Vincent Dallas did not practice because they returned to their respective homes, according to a UT spokesperson.

Both Dallas and Downs are recent high school graduates who will enroll early for the spring semester.

As opportunities for repetitions are expected to decrease because of the gradual implementation of UT's game plan, Dallas and Downs returned home for the holidays and will return at the start of the spring semester, a UT spokesman said.

Center Mack Crowder, a fellow early enrollee who was a teammate of Downs' at Tennessee High, was a full participant Monday.

Early enrollees are not permitted to practice with the team at its bowl site, according to NCAA rules."

I just hope he is as good as the guy who has been wearing it the last 4 years :crossfingers:

They said crowder would have started at Center this year had he been on campus, they are movin stone to guard in the spring and letting crowder, gouch and pope battle it out. They have Gouch losing weight, trying to get him around 280 and pope trying to get healthy.
