Well, that was our best chance at an upset this season. I have never been a negavol, but this game really was confusing. Why did CBJ leave Peterman in the entire first half? That was bad coaching, Plain and simple. Trying to stay positive, but that was our best chance at an upset this season.

I don't think he thought he could win or he as head coach woulda took more chances

The game was still close in the 1st half. Coach Jones gave Peterson every opportunity while it was close. I don't have a problem with the length of time that Peterson played. I do have a problem with the 1st string QB not being much better.

You are right that this was our best chance at an upset but hindsight is 20-20. If we would have known how bad Peterson was gonna be then Worley would have got the start.

That was not our best chance! Our best shot at an upset is SC in our house! They not near as good on D as FL!

I don't like losing either but I think you two need to find a new team to cheer for.

I just hate losing when we have that big of an opportunity. I wont ever cheer for another team. I was born into Vols football and will stay that way till death.

IDK, GA didn't look all that impressive today. My guess is upset phrase will be used when we play against Aub, Vandy an Mizzou. Just won't be a signature spanking like the top 6 of the SEC is.

Not true, yes we have QB issues, contain issues, and most important wide receiver issues, but we will bring home an upset this year. All those major recruits for next year will play and play early. Josh Smith should not see the field imo, local boy or not. He is no possession receiver. Also can't wait for Bates these linebackers have lead in their cleats. Defensive ends get sucked in on a regular basis. Just for whip cream on a turd our offensive line was owned today.

Agreed. Butch gave him a shot. He blew it.

CBJ wanted to give him more than enough opportunities to prove himself. He got his opportunity and failed miserably. Now we all know why Worley is the first string QB.

The uber-dysfunctional Mark Richt-led Georgia Bulldogs have to come to Knoxville on October 5th.

If you ask me, that's our best chance at an upset.

We've got problems everywhere just not at QB. Hopefully some of these kids coming in next yr will have some speed. I honestly feel that alot of our problems on offense & defense are just a total lack of team speed.

to answer OP's question...

I honestly think Butch may have felt it was the offensive line's fault/ dropped passes the first half. clearly it was a jumbled mess of everyone's fault..... but it looked a lot like butch was just trying to give him a chance.

OLine were quoted saying Florida's front was the best they'd seen all year so I bet it took adjusting but they had a horrendous first half. definitely not the best line in the country lol.

That's not the coach I want. You always try to win, especially against SEC foes. Momentum is half the game. When Driskel went out, based on Peterman's horror show on the field, a good coach woulda switched, period. I'm not hearing anything else, as that's the truth.
