How will the 2nd BCS Championship impact this effort...

Meyer hasn't given up on a couple of talented in-state prospects that are committed to other schools, either. He recently was spotted at the Tampa Gaither-Tampa Alonso game to check out Gaither running back Jarvis Giles (committed to Tennessee) and Alonso defensive lineman Demonte McAllister (committed to Florida State).

Both Giles and McAllister are Under Armour All-Americans.

I want Giles to go to So Car, because I dont want him winning anything of significance in his college career.

Besides that, Jarvis probably doesn't like how the runningback is used in the spread offense. I wouldn't if I was a talented running back who had high hopes in a dream of playing in the NFL. I mean in last night's championship game Tebow had 21 carries as a QB and Harvin had 9 carries as a receiver/wing or whatever you call his role. That is 30 carries that the runningback didn't have the ball in his hands. I am sure that Kesthan Moore is a great back, but how is viewed in the eyes of the NFL?

That's basically what Oku said about the spread. The way Florida has been running it isn't exactly the fast track to the NFL.

Jonathan Stewart and Slayton are the only two backs I see in the NFL that have done anything great, coming from a spread offense in college and that includes DMAC
