Well, CUM, developer of young men at a leading university, should know better than to act in such a manner. You don't really need to poor-mouth recruits and other schools when you're tO$U.

Stoops keeps eating his lunch in Ohio, gotta love it.

Calm down. Stoops is a long way away from eating Urbans lunch on anything.

Are you sure about that, or is this just another uninformed opinion? CUM has lost on several recruiting battles with Stoops.

CUM only loses on the ones he is "iffy" about to start with....not the ones he truly wants

Kid must not be very bright if he went to Kentucky

Yeah, those dumb kids who want to play for the school inside their hometown. What morons!

He wins more than he loses, but we've beat him on a few. I'm sure he was fine being wrong on Young, who ended up being a 5* by some services.

You're naive if you think some of those battles were actually won. Tennessee hands out about 250 offers each year. Several teams claim recruiting battles against us because we sign ~25 of those 250. Ohio State does the same thing. There are "offers" and then there are needs.

I completely agree that's the case with a lot of recruits. I know how offers work. But try and tell me with all honesty, that Young's offers from Bama, Auburn, OSU, Miami, Oregon, UCLA, USC meant nothing. This kid committed two years before he signed, still got recruited very heavily, and stayed with UK. I know it hurts to admit it, but occasionally UK gets a decent player. We lost on a guy like Damien Harris, we won on a guy like Young. It's not the end of the world for big schools to lose a guy or two to UK.

That's cool. Who do you think his coach will be next year?

It's good that Urbie is spending more time with his family. Has to be boring for them attending practices, watching film, etc.

if this is true, then he was a wildcat for life and was always going to Lexington regardless of Stoops

I think he meant overall recruiting and winning seasons. Meyer obviously has that over Stoops.

One coach has never made a bowl. The other has 3 championships. I doubt CUM ever worries about Stoops. Maybe his brother. Maybe.

According to an interview a UK commit, 4/5* OL Landon Young, he was not happy with the way OSU treated him at all.

Highlights of the interview:
-Said Urban was "not the nicest" coach, and it wasn't even close.
-Said UK and Auburn were the only schools who didn't recruit negatively.
-Said Saban and Malzahn actually treated him nicely.

https://www.seccountry.com/kentucky/4-star-sec-signee-ohio-state-treated-me-like-crap-urban-meyer-called-me-a-bad-player

Out of everything said only 1 thing surprised me. A 4/5* committed to UK? Lies.

Urban Meyer is universally hated for reason - similar to Calipari.
However why even bring up UK in football related conversation?

I detest Urban Meyer more than any coach around, I think he is most likely a horrible human being.
Having said that I dont give much attention to these recruits when they wine about stuff like this. Teenagers in general crave attention and have not yet learned different personalty types so they can be over sensitive.
He cant be that bad he gets darn good player year after year.

LOL...I'm gonna guess Meyer is more than fine with the position his program is in currently, despite the scores of lost recruiting battles to the second coming of Vince Lombardi and mighty Kentucky.

I'm more shocked that a 5 star lineman would go to UK..that's kind of like having a forklift stock shelves at the dollartree.
