USA Today Coaches Pre-Season Poll

If I had to guess, Boise's probably the first team to fall out, because they return like 6 starters. They'll still be good (double-digit wins is still likely if we're counting a bowl game), but Michigan State should handle them by a TD or two.

Kansas State won't finish the year in the Top 25. You don't win eight games by a TD or less two years in a row.

For a John L. Smith coached team, Arkansas is rated too high.

Look for TCU to have a hot start (their hardest game in the first seven is a Baylor team sans RG3, Kendall Wright, and more) and go 6-1 or 7-0 (7-0 is pretty likely) but have a rough finish (their last five games are all against Top 25 teams).

If I had to pick one team not in the Top 25 I fully expect to be ranked at the end of the season, it's USF in a weak Big East.

I really, really want to disagree with you about Boise State, govols120, but I'd never be willing to put any money on them against Michigan State. I truly believe that they'll go into East Lansing and pull of the upset, but considering what they've lost and the caliber of the Spartans it's just categorical blind faith on my part. In a fun pick'em, I have a very difficult time choosing against Petersen. Even if they lose, I see them running the table unless BYU trips them up.

As for the weak Big East, I think Louisville has the absolute best chance of finishing the season in the Top 25 and the Cards don't have much of an excuse not to win the conference outright this season.
