Initial impressions are UT should have made the list and UK is about 5 too high.

Your thoughts?

Louisville, Kentucky, and Ohio State is too high IMO. I'd put L-Ville in the top 10 though. NC State should be top 3. I also think Creighton and Mizzou should be higher. Besides that, give or take one or two spots, it works for me. I don't know how good UNLV, FSU, or Wisky is suppose to be so I can't really comment on them.

Also, I think you could make the case for Kentucky being ranked too high every year to start the season because they reload every year and start the season with unproven talent. They usually justify it though. I'm really curious how this team looks compared to some of Cals other young teams. If I had to guess, i'd say this is for sure the weakest team out of all of the others he's had? Is that spot on to UK fans?

I would have Louisville #1 JMO

Exactly. NC State has that kind of incoming talent but they also return Leslie, Brown, Howell, and Wood

Yes. The top half of the ACC is probably as good as it's been in a long time. I always respected Gottfried. When the Grant experiment runs out, Alabama will regret this.

Like most other Wildcat fans, I'd rank this team right with the 2010-2011 FF team. There is a completely different dynamic this time, of course. The front court is loaded and the back court is suspect.

If Enes Kanter had been eligible who knows what we would have had. Ironically that is a very revered team here. Jorts, Brandon Knight, Liggins are respected almost as though they'd won a title for us.

After that year Miller,Jones & Lamb stayed as integral parts of the championship season the next year. If we don't win this year I can see Cauley-Stein sticking around as a development player.

Put him with the back court talent booked for 2013 and booyah....

Gottfrield is a great recruiter, but he's always struck me as a slime ball. And Grant is a very good coach. He'll be very successful there, imo.

Louisville is returning a bunch from last year's FF team. Kentucky is too high.

**** Louisville. And Indiana.

Ohio State is going to be down. Top 25, but not top 10.

I assume #20 should be San Diego State.

Notre Dame is too low.

That's a pretty good list though.

UK actually has decent depth this year:

PG: Harrow/Mays
SG: Goodwin/Hood (IDK how much he is going to play this year)
SF: Poythress/Goodwin
PF: Wiltjer/Noel
C: Noel/Cauley-Stein

To mirror what Cal said, this year UK will look like a November team in November. There will be no running out of the gate. This team could very likely start 0-2, and I say that seriously. But once again, by spring time this team will defend and have its role players defined, and could make a final four run.

Of course, the bluegrass will be willing to give a pass, as they are already booking final four tickets for next season.

You kinda lost something important. Like your very good coach.

Very good is debatable. Was barely .500 in MAC play. Won when it counts though. But we got the coach with the best winning percentage in MAC history and the players love him. A joke not to get one vote out of 40 voters.
