I know we're currently right in the middle of college football season, but college basketball is right upon us. Less than a month away. USA Today has released its preseason rankings:
NCAA Men's Basketball - Coaches Poll | USA Today Sports
Mostly the usual suspects, although Maryland is ranked higher than it has been preseason in years. The most interesting aspect of this poll is that it features what I would imagine is one of the only (if not the only?) co-number ones in its history in 1. Kentucky and 1. North Carolina.
Not that any of it matters, but you would think more first place votes among equal points received would be a sufficient tiebreaker, but I suppose not.
