I recall North Dakota State got some votes a few years ago. I wonder if there's a chance of that happening again for one or more FCS schools if they pull an upset.

Somebody in another thread pulled a stat that over the last 10 years, when you compare preseason ranking to final ranking, there wasn't a more overrated school in the country than FSU.

I think to a large degree, people still look at them and think 1990s. Which is fine - I mean, they were incredibly dominant in the 1990s, but it's like the bloom hasn't totally come off of their rose.

I'm really curious to see what happens with the Big Ten and Pac 12 schools once the season starts. I get including them in the preseason ranking, but what about when games start being played? Do they slowly slide outside the top 25? Do they just simply get removed?

You know there’s gonna be some jack wagon Buckeye voters still giving them 1st place votes. That’s just how they roll.😁

i'm not sure either as to why they rank teams that are not going to play...but then again it's USA Today....the caring and inclusive newspaper
