yeah according to ESPN they already have 12 games scheduled and this would make 13...So No Hawaii trip for Lane

Wrong. The 'AA allowed them to postpone their exemption penalty to 2011. Aloha, Tojans. Too bad for the Kiffin lynch mob. You might want to get used to this. There are going to be a number of rulings coming in the next few months you aren't going to like.yeah according to ESPN they already have 12 games scheduled and this would make 13...So No Hawaii trip for Lane

I think it depends on how you define successful. My guess is that the bowl ban will be scaled back to one year and they'll get a couple of scholarships a year back. I find it hard to beleive the PAC 10 won't be doing some serious backchannel lobbying for SC. With Texas and Oklahoma staying put, that league desperately needs a healthy and vibrant Southern Cal. I read the report the other day. While I understand administrative bodies have different standards of proof than the judiciary, the 'AA's findings as to imputed institustional knowledge of the Reggie Bush and OJ Mayo situations would be laughed out of a courtroom.hat, why do you think their appeal will be successful?

Nobody's really gotten hammered since they changed the standards for appeals. Vacating wins is one thing. Keeping a team out of postseason play and shortening their roster is a different animal.:birgits_giggle:
If USC wins an appeal it will be an upset. None of the big cases have won an appeal since the rules changed a couple of years back. I'm not saying they won't, but it would surprise me.
Don't count on USC winning an appeal - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN
