USC just finished off its second ranked opponent in the last week by beating #20 UNLV in the Finals of the tournament in Hawaii.

USC destroyed Tennessee in a regualr season meeting in Los Angeles just days before leaving for the Hawaiian tourney.

USC will be a serious NCAA tourney contender and the loss by the Vols(although by a wide margin) may not be as bad as first seemed..

It's still a bad loss, you can sugar coat it all you like, but we played awful, and Tyler Smith is beginning to make me want to throw up whenever I see him play!

Not very pleasent, I agree. If USC wins 20 games then it will not mean much!!

They have a better chance of winning 20 than we do..

Kentucky twice, Florida twice, Mississippi State once, Kansas, Memphis etc. I think you may have an overstated opinion of Pearls boys. Why do you think we are better or should be better than USC. They have wins over 2 ranked opponents and we have 0.

No way we lose to the Gators. They are playing just as badly as us (see back-to-back losses to Richmond and S. Alabama) plus Pearl owns Billy. However Wall, Cousins, Patterson, and company will make us want Meeks back.

Not sure that USC is for real just yet, but it will be quite a stake in the heart of UT if Kevin O'Neill advances further in the tournament than Bruce Pearl.
