anything about hostesses, interns, or Lane Kiffin? Story broken by NYT? Is there a Tim Tebow, Urban Meyer, or Notre Dame tie-in that could be manufactured?... not interested

It doesnt matter. If the Bush getting a house for his folks that was obvious to everyone didnt shut down USC. Then Joe McKnight will not even warrant an investigation. The NCAA is crooked. They blasted Tim Floyd for the O.J. Mayo deal but refuse to do anything to Pete Carroll and the football program. Trojan football is the NCAA BCS cashcow.

Although it was ESPN that reported this....kinda hurts your argument..

I'm just curious, why is it that when ESPN reports on issues regarding UT we call them every name in the book, but then we use them as our reference whenever we want to bash some other program? just seems a bit odd and disingenuous.... but I digress, many people on here just need someone or something to blame, we are all victims, blah blah blah.

Since when is a $500 car payment for a college student not a big amount???

"It is her car," Schenter wrote. "She makes the payments and she is responsible for insurance. The payments are a little over $500/month [not a big amount]."

For those of you outside of the car biz, let me key you in on a felony that was perpetrated by the auto dealer who sold the Range Rover. If Schenter did indeed purchase the vehicle for McKnight's gf and the dealership KNEW about it, it is what's called a "straw purchase." It is a loan made in another's name for the benefit of somebody who cannot be on the retail installment contract. If this occurred, which it sounds like it did, then fraud occurred.

Not quite, it is a Range Rover.

In the Los Angeles Times newspaper article that I read, it said that Joe McKnight stated, " I never drive the car it belongs to my girlfriend." But the LA Times reporter said that he personally had seen him drive the Range Rover and that the same reporter saw Pete Carroll talking to McKnight outside of the car. McKnight then got into the car and drove off. I'll try to find the link for the article...TIFWIW...Go Big Orange!

Probably going to be one of those things they won't really be able to prove, unless they have solid evidence.....And a guy that said he saw them isn't all that much proof. Honestly they are playing it perfect saying that it's his girlfriends car. If he wouldn't have said that he had never drove it, he would probably be fine, but they will investigate it, but probably won't come up with a conclusion until he is gone.

I agree, but, how many young girls do you know that can afford a $ 500.00 a month Range Rover? makes you wonder....GBO!

What about all those Vol players who drove around vehicles given to Fulmer by car dealers? Where's Hyams & other hack writers on that?

When they're paying it for her.....what a joke, the NCAA should really dig into this. The bad part is that Kiffin was at USC when Bush was getting a free house, so no wonder the NCAA may want to nail him.

I'm 20 and I could afford a $500 dollar a month car payment. Not taking there side, but just saying.

Does the girl actually go to USC? I saw where she was the secretary for the guy that said he helped her get the loan for the car.....so i'm assuming he's paying her enough to make the payments.

That's called a big red flag......not saying it doesn't happen, but she just happens to have a boyfriend that's a stud for USC and this guy (her boss) also owns a website that bares the same name as that player. Where there is smoke......

TN has it's own problems, but this not lookin' good for the Trojans, which is fine with me because it takes a little of the fire off of us.

Sorry for this...but if the was a UT story...everyone on here would be "up in arms" about the bias against the Vols.

Absurd, there have been well publicized cases out of SC involving players and their families receiving money. If UT had a similar recent past we wouldn't be up in arms, we would be scared crapless that the hammer was about to drop.

I HATE this comment.....but.......... FAIL!

BS!

You know that is not true. UT fans are classier than most...but ***** and whine more than anyone.
