Do you think we will unleash some frustration on the Gamecocks this weekend? Or are week walking into an upset situation? I know Spurrier will have his team ready and he would love to get one on us. I hope that the players still want to make an effort even thought the season is shot for anything but Peach/Music City Bowl. :disappointed:

The one weakness of SC is their line play on both sides of the ball. Hopefully we can just run over them the way some other teams have.

They also lost their top playmaker for the season yesterday.

we showed yesterday that we can run the ball, just not hang on to it. We are going to run for 200 yards this next weekend

The Vols have GOT to start executing on offense... the Tide was not a team to try and get better against... USC is though.

At some point, playing all these top 5 teams has to benefit us. I think that it will be in this game. But if it's not, I won't be shocked.

Heres something else to digest.

Guess what future UT opponent has the current 97th ranked defense in the country?

If you said USC, Memphis, Vandy or Kentucky, you'd be WRONG. Its Notre Dame. Thats right. The Irish defense is as pathetic as our offense is.

I don't know... the character, resolve, and mindset of our players is key here. I think Chavis and our D have too much of it to lay down, but based on the lack of help they're getting from the offense and special teams, it wouldn't surprise me if they play flat. Human nature has to be catching up with those cats. They play their hearts out each week - if our offense and special teams were even average we'd be 5-1 if not 6-0.

I count on our special teams to consistently provide us with bad field position and possibly commit another turnover.

I think our offense will be able to rush for 200 yards, pass for 150, but only score about 17 points.

Outcome of the game is in doubt. If we manage to cut down on mistakes talent alone should win the game - which is a good thing - because I'm 100% certain we will be outcoached.

IF we run the ball like we did against bama we will kill them. Bama defense was stronger and we got some good looks. I loved the extra RB and TE that brought back memories of school football.
