After trailing W. Mich for most of the game Gerrity leads USC to 55-51 win. Thank Goodneess, that loss to USC isn't nearly embarrassing now.

What a terrible day Saturday was.

USC played their best game of the year. I would worry more about how UT responds than how USC plays. We all knew they sucked so it's not surprising.

What was the Purdue game, then?

Look, December doesn't matter. It's how the team responds in Jan and Feb.

I guarantee the Selection Committee isn't just going to blow off a 22 point beatdown to a bad team when they're determining seeding.

If you told me that we'd hold a team to 77, I'd bet we'd win.

But anyhow, I don't care what the committee thinks about a loss in mid-December. If we take care of business from here on out, it's pretty much a non-issue.

I guarantee that you can't extrapolate the team's performance the rest of the year based on a loss to USC. As long as we get better and win, it doesn't matter. One game.

This will be an issue in determining our seed, I can tell you that. The comittee will not just blow it off like you are.

It's fairly apparent that the committee overlooks a couple of losses. Look at the year we were given the #2 seed.

If we're talking past games, I promise the 1pt loss to Purdue (no one else has been closer than 8) will be as important than the loss on the road to USC.

Plus, if everyone here thinks we suck so bad, why are we worried about the committee?

Looks like the players don't care how they play in December either. This team needs a major attitude overhaul and not just their skills. If you see these guys in the airport they walk around like they are undefeated and some dress like thugs. Drop the thug mentality and play like basketball players with some pride and discipline.

Yeah, just like most of the folks around here said the Temple game wasn't a harbinger of things to come and Bruce would "get it fixed" last year.

Except USC has only scored as many as 77 against one other team - UC Riverside and only in the 70s against one other team, Coppin State. We actually "held" them to 17 points above their season average.

No excuse for their performance last weekend. The only way for redemption will be a win against Kansas...unlikely. The season is over and sky is falling, watch out!

This.

All this "Bruce will get it fixed" talk.......we've been hearing this over a year now.
