I think I remember some people saying Wall would get the best of Downey last summer. I'm betting Downey has the game of his life tonight.

Downey might go ape because D isn't Wall's or Bledsoe's calling card, but he'll have to have 70 with 14 assists to even stay in contact. SC is ugly.

Yea SC will definitely have to have a couple others to step up. I think Lakeem Jackson will play decent D tonight on Wall. Archie, Holmes and Muldrow would be smart to just throw their bodies in the lane to get Cousins in foul trouble.

Downey has been talking a little trash this week, I dunno if Wall uses it as bulletin board material or not. I doubt he needs stuff like that for motivation.

Bledsoe played the best defense of his life Saturday, shutting down Clarke. However, Downey is heads and shoulders above Clarke. If I were coaching (Thank God I'm not), I would perhaps look at playing Liggins more this game, and keep him on Downey at all times. The UK offense can get along just fine with 4 people. (although Liggins has shown offensive stability this year)

I think Downey probably gets his tonight, but if he only gets his averages then its likely UK wins comfortably. SEC road games are weird sometimes though.

I should probably rephrase that a bit. I wouldn't call it trash talking, but more along the lines of " I always think I am the best guard on the floor. Tell John Wall to Bring it". Taking a jab, without really throwing the punch.

My opinion, I think there is nothing wrong with it. Thats the attitude he should have, submit to no one. Not to mention, Downey is the real deal. Link below:

Calipari also mentioned playing zone tonight to try and contain Downey. We shall see if that holds true or not.

Downey has owned the Cats the last couple times they played. I think tonight will be a different story.

SC is going to get blasted tonight.
On the bright side, they can go ahead and start working on the elusive 3rd NIT championship.

UK historically struggles at Columbia. I think this might be the end of the streak for the Cats. Huge test tho.

SC busting out the gray alternate jersey's. They are going all out.

Do we really have to review EVERY single 3 thats shot now? Seems to be happening more and more often.

You can't guard downey that far off. He will pop on you everytime.

That was a terrible call on Liggins.

And I love Eric Bledsoe, but at the same time.... sometimes I want to ring his neck.

We look horrible. SC is not playing good either though, thank God.

Downey just taught Eric Bledsoe a lesson on a senior vs freshmen.

Patterson dunked that ball hard.

We are getting out rebounded, and beat to every loose ball.

Downey is taking the freshmen to school.

Darnell Dodson has absolutely NO business being in the game during crunch time. He is a terrible rebounder, and a terrible defender. And misses wide open layups. WTF
