We made the comeback of the season in their house... no reason we shouldn't be able to take care of bidness at home.

I'd like to 20,000+ crazy fans again. Preferably 24,000+.

If we play reasonably well we should win. But either average play on our part or outstanding play by the 'cocks will result in a loss.

We have to play the way we are capable of playing. If UT shoots good and play like we did against uf, we should win. SC is a good team so we can't let down.

they've already sold 20,000 tickets...wonder if USC will be up for an emotional let down?? he, he, i really don't think it will come to that. I think BP will show 'em the tape of the 1st game, and show'em how close that they came to losing down there.....he'll make adjustments, and i think we win, but closer than most will probably think.

I think this will be a huge game. The Vols need to conitinue this winning streak. They need to come out of the shoot well and give SC 40 minutes of hard nosed play.

SC will come here ready to play with an attitude due to the upset suffered at the hands of the Vols.

Pearl will have them ready to play!!!!

Tennessee by 9

This is a real measuring stick. The first team that we catch for a second time.
Can SC make adjustments to what we do, now that they've seen it real time?
Logic says that they will do some things differently.
But, coach Pearl has been running this system his whole career. I'm going to assume that he's ready for anything and has the team ready as well.
Those really great seasons happen because you held your own court, and stole some on the road.
Tennesse holds serve.

I think the great thing about our system is it runs off of whatever mistakes the other team makes. We'll keep running around and around until someone pops free on a screen. As an opposing team, I think you can know we're gonna do it, but there's not all that much you can do to stop it.

And defensively, you know we're gonna press, and you can prepare for it...but it doesn't mean you'll succeed. Pearl, from what I've seen on tv with replays (harder to tell from the student section) will do stuff like swith defenses in the MIDDLE of a play, or giveyou one look and show up with another once you get to mid court.

He's just tricky, and I thinkn no matter what the other coach says to do, their team is probably gonna get confused, which shows with what 20 turnovers a game by opponents?

South Carolina will be on top of the world after beating Florida just like we was. I think that since South Carolina beat Florida the game will be closer just because SC will have a lot of motivation coming into the game. If Florida would have beat them I would have said that Tennessee wins by 15 but with them beating Florida it will be closer, but I still think Tennessee will pull it out :aggressive:

I look at it the other way. If USC lost to UF, it would be harder for Pearl to convince the guys how tough this game could be. Now he can say that USC did the same thing the Vols did. I think BP will have them ready.

I like the fact that they beat the Gators, levels the emotions with both teams having wins over Florida. As volinbham says doesn't let UT go into it thinking SC is a pushover and takes away the wounded dog syndrome from the Gamecocks.

He can just show the men the tape from the first half in Columbia... they'll be amped up to outplay how they did that night.

I think you're right Jwells, CBP makes the players think CONSTANTLY while on the court, evening out the physical /w the mental. Our guys seem to have a great thinking game... That said, it is hard for a team to adjust to that for an entire 40 mins. The press can really turn a good player into a turnover machine.
