They think they're the big sh!t now because they've won a few games over the course of 3 years. Their ignorance more than anything is what gets me. This is a twitter conversation with one of them

Me: "Brother: "I think Spurrier will retire after he wins a SEC Championship." My dad: "He'll be the head coach until he dies then.""

Him: "@Csl7296 lololol that's a big statement coming from a vol"

Me: "@KleptoMagz Tennessee has 13 SEC Championships and 6 National Championships. USCe has none of either"

I get it all the time, that's the thing. I don't know how a team with a 6-22 record against us has any room for trash talk, but they seem to think they're entitled to it. And everytime I bring that up I get the "It's not 1998 anymore." speech. I can't wait till we pount USCe, Florida, and Georgia this year. Alabama would be nice, but that's more than a long shot.

I mean there are some cool UGA fans out there, and I know we have some crazy fans ourselves, but most of the UGA fans I've talked to think they're program is historically superior. I don't know a lot of USCe fans though.

I second that. My ex-girlfriend goes there, i've been to Athens wayy too many times and encountered way too many pompous UG*******s. And unluckily for me, i've pretty much had to smile and take it because UT's been in the dumps since i've been in school. I'm counting on this year being the year to change that...

You're not the only one! I remember the glory days of 14 straight vs USCe, my friends got hell for it. Now karma is being a real Mc*******. Looking forward to this season.

Thank god i'm not the only one. I'll be going down to see her for the UGA game this year, hopefully saturday night i'll be able to drunkenly talk smack to my hearts content.

You have to understand that this is a fan base that has starved for success. That being said, we are not all like that.

I understand completely. I can have an intelligent conversation about football with many of them, but I can't believe the audacity of some of the younger fans. The ones that never saw the dominance of UT over them from '93-'07. The older fans tend to be more likable.

Oh, I agree. It's the reason I no longer post on Cocky Talk. Anything that doesn't sing Spurrier's praises is blasphemy.

Being in Villa Rica, you probably get more of it than I do, but down this way the UGA fans...well, most of them...are pretty cool. Aside from the usual ribbing and trash-talking, I haven't ever had a real problem with any of them.

Now, as for the UF fans. Good Lord. Probably the biggest bunch of jackasses I've ever seen.

I swear...if Al Qaeda had a football team, I'd probably cheer for them against UF.

Go Vols.

Oh I agree. Especially around Savannah to Tifton and Albany and the ones in the North Georgia mountains are pretty cool. The ones around here though are extremely cool or extremely douchey. I guess thats every fanbase though. Haven't really had a problem with UF fans but Bama fans?! They may actually be worse than UGA fans.

In my experience, bama fans have actually been pretty good to me. Out of every other fanbase I feel like they have the most respect for Tennessee.

I attended a wedding with some Cocks a couple of weeks back. They all thought they were the stuff, talking smack about Tennessee. I just kept quiet, thinking... "Wait for it suckers... wait for it..."
