I read wrong. He has reportedly expressed interest in the position.

He probably expressed "interest" in order to get his current school to ante up more bucks.

Grow a brain....Mike was fired as the HC at Arizona State. He has NO current school. Bob is at Oklahoma and Mark is DC at Florida State.

spurrier knows how to hire good DC's without going for a big name his defenses have almost always been good

just cant understand the struggles he's had at QB with how great our passing game always was when he was here

You should probably grow a brain too, he was fired from Arizona not Arizona State.

Don't see why this would be hard to believe...Spurrier has a history with the Stoops family as Bob was his D coord at UF.

Would be a good pickup for the Cocks.

Just announced that current secondary coach Lorenzo Ward hired as the new DC.

Ward is a very good recruiter and it was key to at least keep him on the staff, but since he's been at SC the D has gotten torched against every single team that has a passing offense with a pulse, minus Clemson this season.

First reaction is that don't like the hire at all and thinking Ward got the job because he's good buddies with Spurrier and not because he's the best candidate. Time will tell though, but Stoops wanted the job and there were numerous other big time out of house candidates to look at.
