UT's new facility is sick; thought I'd pass along some of our new pad. We've been stuck in the dark ages forever. They did something kinda cool with Tee's office as well.

Where is the indoor practice field pic?

They have one, but it's not what ya think. It's 50 yards and has a 20 foot ceiling...appears to be more for horse playing as opposed to actual practicing. Lane's response was something like: "it helps recruiting when they see we don't have one...they realize weather's perfect all year around."

I figured that would be his response. I don't think it matters. It hasn't been holding SC back from getting players the last decade. I thought they said it was going to be sort of like the one Tennessee has. Personally , I'd rather have one. The weather is nice , but it's never going to be perfect year round. It is close though. It also helps if you are going to play in a dome. At least you can get used to playing inside. In that picture it looks like it's about 30 yards at best to actually work with. Sort of like the one at Georgia. As for the rest of it , it's nice. I don't know what took you all so long to build something like that. Still think the one at Tennessee is better. :p

Whether they need it or not, I wish we had one like UTs. The issue was probably space and cash. Very interested to see the finished product in Knoxville...from the video it looks amazing.

I agree. There really isn't any room to do anything except walk through plays. You won't be kicking or passing the ball too high. But considering how bad Lane said things were at SC when he was coach here , it has to be an upgrade for the players.

Tennessee should be done with it soon. It really is nice and it's not like the other place was really that bad. The new facility has everything. Stuff I wouldn't even think of is in that video. You know the older players look at these places and can't believe what they have these days.

Really like all of the wood and furnishings. It has a State park feel to it but I like State parks. Didnt like the darkness, maybe it was your photography. Weight room facility was friggin sweet.
