UT a Nike School?

I heard a rumor today that UT has signed a contract with Nike for the next 5 years – any truth to this? Normally I don’t believe anything like that but the rumor was from an owner of a local sports appeal store in Nashville who told me he was liquidating all his UT Adidas gear to make room for the new Nike stuff…anyone else hear this?

I actually got a sneak peek of what the football cleats will look like. Pretty sweet.

Yeah, like I said normally I would ignore this stuff but it’s a guy I know who isn’t crazy and I thought he may have some inside info – I don’t even know when UT’s contract w/ Adidas expires…

Multiple sources are telling me it's Under Armour. Uniforms will now look like a repeating Tennessee state flag.

Shoe store owners are usually my inside sources, too. That's where I heard that we had hired Randy Shannon.

All I know is uniforms get uglier and uglier and these brands try to out ugly each other (baylor, oregon....)

I just wrote on a piece of paper with my orange highlighter and held it up next to the orange at the top of this page.

It is an exact match!

Does that mean we = Baylor?


EDIT: awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww crud!!! I just used the word "WE" when talking about UT. dangdangdang. Ive been sucked in.

BTW and FWIW: tKid took a couple 2nds last week with the rowing team. missed a 1st by 2 sec.

Your rumor was WRONG....UT just signed a new deal with adidas last year I believe...UT would be foolish to go to Nike
