Decommit QBU.

Seeing Michael Penix Jr. balling out for Indiana and also being a darkhorse Heisman QB this year got me thinking of other QB's that went on to success at other college programs AFTER being committed to UT or on the roster at some point. Here's my list, I'm sure there's more. I just seems if you commit to UT as a QB then either recommit elsewhere, get "over recruited" or transfer, the odds of you doing well at your next stop is very good.

Tajh Boyd: UT Commit --> UT Decommit --> Signs with Clemson (Lane Kiffin didn't want)
Bryce Petty: UT Commit --> UT Decommit --> Signs with Baylor (not good enough)
Michael Penix Jr.: UT Commit --> UT Decommit --> Signs with Indiana (sent packing)
Adrian Martinez: UT Commit --> UT Decommit --> Signs with Nebraska (decomitted)
Nathan Peterman: UT Player --> UT Transfer --> Sign with Pitt (looking for PT)

Note worthy:
Chris Leak was all but going to Tennessee before CJ stunk t up in his first start against UGA before getting benched after 1 series.
Frickin Trevor Lawrence's picture in vol gear at Neyland then going on the wear #16. fml

Based on this track record... JG might actually be decent at Washington State... Same could be said for JT. Shrout at Colorado.

Dobbs is better than Peterman.
Never in it for Lawrence.
It’s JG
Shrout may be out for the season.

Cool, they aren't on our roster and outside of Peterman, never were. Focus on whose here and who was here that we can sell to recruits. Also guys that the new staff have coached

Michael Penix Jr is a Heisman dark horse? He hasn't even accounted for 2000 yards in a season yet, completed 56% of his passes last year.. none of these guys have really done anything except Lawrence.

Am I to believe that UGA QB turnover was any better?

QB is a volatile position that has a lot of turnover, and that doesn't even include those that change positions after arriving on campus QBs AJ Johnson and Jauan Jenning to name a few.

Adrian Martinez was benched last season and has been considered a disappointment after a promising freshman season

Well let’s put it this way. We are due a gift from the College Football QB Overlords. With one of the best QB Gurus in college football as a HC and as gifted of an elite arm/athlete Milton is…maybe it will be egg & 💩 on Michigan and it’s fans’ faces for running him off.

Every team has recruited kids that they never sign. Every good player always has 2 or 3 leaders, maybe more, until he decides where he is going. In every case there is only 1 winner and many others that don't get him. Wasted time reading this.

UT was in it for Trevor and lost out on Hunter Johnson the year before both idolized Peyton and esntdd to be a VOL. it was all Butch fault. Couldn't close the deal and wouldn't modify his high school bs offense

Bro I promise me, Buck, Ballard, along with both Trevor (Jr)and Hunter (Sr) sat together and had deep discussions also did a camp together. Johnson Sr he was ready to commit and Trevor was to follow. UT shyt the bed and Butch botched it after the game. He put the recruits out of the locker room because the players were absolutely dog cussing the coaches and it was crazy. Former players came in and calmed it down but on my kids it was going to happen. I'll even reach out to Swain and go on the show if he'll agree to talk about it.
