Going to make the trip to Athens but would like to find tickets close to Vol fans if possible. Anybody have intel on what sections are designated for visitors there at Sanford?
Be prepared for the worst unprovoked behavior from UGA fans. I’ve been to a lot of stadiums. This is the only place I won’t take my family.

Agree. They embarrass themselves with the barking and what not. I've been several times, but only with rational dawg friends. Was glorious to see Heath take them down in 1992 and Ainge burst their bubble in 2004. There's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing a quiet Sanford, with RT blaring from TPOS. But in those situations, I wasn't able to let it out with abandon.
I just want to be around Vols this time.

Tennessee should have 5,000 to 7,500 fans in Sanford Stadium for this game.

Saw the Helton win in 94. Yes the drunk frat boy are pretty comical with their barking but that's just a part of SEC football 🏈

You are a brave soul. I went to a game there our first year under Butch I believe it was, so we obviously sucked but we gave them a game. Their fans were so nice and "aww poor thing" before the game. Then by the 3rd quarter when it was a tight game it was "Tennessee can go to hell" bark bark and so on. They are insufferable.

The only thing to be concerned about that UGA "Painted Dildo Brigade" is that one may sully one's orange and white while shuffling past them to go purchase some refreshments on account of their paint leaving a skidmark on one's shirt.

Well apparently you’ve had a terrible experience at Sanford. As a GA fan, I apologize for that. Just wondering, was your bad experience there recent, as in since Kirby and recent success? I only ask bc major success brings tons of different types of fans. There is no excuse for treating visitors harshly, it’s CFB and it’s fun. Back when I attended games more regularly I loved interacting with rival fans. Sure I gave them a little shite, but also shared my food and libations and enjoyed talking the game with them.

The Georgia fanbase has always been full of idiots, more-so than any other program across the country. I’ve been to almost every SEC school’s stadium as a visiting fan. None are worse than Georgia because of the sheer volume of drunk barking shitheads packed into one area.

Unfortunately, I’ve been to Sanford multiple times. I will never go back after being assaulted walking back to my car after the UT/uGA game in ‘16. F*** uGA and the entire program. I hope they lose every game by 100 ad infinitum.

I'm in 605 row 19 after my request for tickets was granted through the UT season ticket holder office away game request. Pretty sure that's the top row of the upper deck. Good news is we can't get any beers poured on our heads with nobody behind us!!

Taking 3 guys from my company that work in Georgia near Athens but all are Vol fans.

November 9, 1991, I was living in Milwaukee and drove to the UT/Notre Dame game in South Bend. I brought with me two well used UT (white soft plastic w UT logo) seat cushions and didn't have a ticket. My buddy and I got the last two tickets available anywhere from a UT alum and our seats were in the UT section, which was in the NE corner of the stadium. Seats were smack in the middle and about 25 rows from the field. In the second half, which is when the Vols showed up, I started hammering those cushions which, when brought together with a heave thrust, can sound like a shot gun going off. Yes, they are obnoxious as all get out but hey, this is a football game, not a golf tournament, right? I beat the ever living doo doo out of those cushions as we, the team and the UT fans (esp the raucous UT Student Section) made history by coming from behind 31-7 at half and winning the game 35-34, as a last second field goal by the Irish glanced off the buttocks of UT special teams player Jeremy Lincoln. And thus, the Miracle at South Bend was born.

So, I say to all of you students and or people sitting in the student section in Athens next weekend, that just like yesterday's historic Presidential vote for our 47th President of the United States, you can make a difference. If you don't have the money for the seat cushions, send me a private msg and I will get you the money. The key though, is to be a leader in the UT Student Section. Stand up for 4 quarters and raise wholly hell. Don't worry about getting the sh*t kicked out of you by some UGA Bubba's after the game, because we need this win to help ensure that we have our fair shot at the National Championship.

Go Vols!!
