He is the one who started a lot of these rumors. If you will notice that article is from 1/20. He writes some questionable things. Remember his other coaching changes that were "done deals".

Are these legit rumors or is he trying to prod certain things to happen by implying they are rumors.....just tell us how you really feel Doc and don't hide behind rumors. :biggrin2:

I think it's pretty clear he's got an agenda.

Plus you should never trust anybody who's bio starts off telling what a blueblood they are.

My personal opinion is, Hancock is very close to one of the wealthy donors to the athletic department who is privy to all the rumors circulating, and then Hancock takes those and puts them in print.

I agree everything he prints should be taken as simply rumors, but I think its interesting, because I assume these are the rumors that are circulating among the donors, coachs, athletic dept, etc.

Could be, but he really missed bad on his rumors of Dale Jones and the gang coming to fill the assistant positions. He started with this Trooper stuff back then if you remember.

You could be right about that. Whatever you think of him, he does make it pretty clear that what he writes is opinion.

Would that donor be his crack dealer or a member of the Board of Professional Responsibility that disbarred him?

Probably someone who simply makes stuff up, and then tells Hancock, and has a good laugh the next week when he sees it in print.

You have to give the man credit, most of what he writes sounds plausible. He's not coming up with off the wall stuff. Most of his opinion about the state of the football program falls along the lines of what I am thinking, I suppose thats why I enjoy reading it. Even if he is a disbarred attorney who was a former cocaine user. No ones denying he hasn't made more then his share of mistakes.
