Ok I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I think I'm going to get a twitter account (this part is important) FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF FOLLOWING & GETTING UPDATES FROM UT PLAYERS AND COACHES.

This might be a good thread to sticky for others? But I was hoping people who are already on twitter could pitch in and post some of the players' & coaches twitter accounts so we could have it all in a consolidated location.

Future Twitter stalker.....lol

Lol yeah really. No I just have seen some really positive energy from the few tweets I've seen posted here from former Vols and the new coaching staff. After the last 5 years of craptastic football, I could seriously use that positive energy more often. Especially with the way our recruiting is shaping up thus far, though that's another discussion..

I executed your plan a few months ago and I love it. You get Vol news way faster. I hardly come to this site anymore. In fact I saw your post on twitter and that's the only reason I came here. Just find a few Vol related people to follow and you will be able to add more all the time from re tweets. Also twitter emails you suggestions which is great when your starting out.

Twitter is also pretty amazing for news. I've never tweeted in my life, but I check my Twitter several times throughout the day for breaking news, sports updates, local stories, and yes, anything and everything UT related.

It also came in handy last night during the tornadoes.

If it feels good definitely go for it and it appears to be more energy and excitement lately. I definitely understand "the last five years" statement.
GO VOLS!

That's honestly why I have a twitter for the most part...is to follow my favorite athletes and celebrities. Even follow some espn casters. And of course a ton of Tennessee stuff.

I have never been a fan of social media either, but I must say the excitement CBJ has generated using it, is starting to make me a fan of it. I love how he has embraced former players, their families, recruits families etc. He has worked extremely hard to unite Vol fans everywhere and IMO has done an amazing job in a very short time frame. I pray he has some unexpected success in year one, so he gets the opportunity to lead UT for many years to come. I believe he has the makings to be a legend here.

Actually that's all I use my twitter for, obviously I follow my friends, but my Facebook is where I socialize with friends and family, but my twitter is mainly used for news on all my teams, I follow beat writers and fan sites that give breaking news and updates, it's kind of funny I tell my friends and family news I hear and then 2-3 days later it becomes public on news sites.

This is why I considerd opening an account but I honestly get confused reading other poster's twitter tweets. Too many @ and # for me.

Well the @'s are who there sending the tweet to, and the # is the topic, it can seem confusing at first but ultimately it's much simpler than Facebook, but yea I mainly follow celebs, and athletes, and coaches, players, and beat writers and fan pages.

I don't have the time to do all that.

I wish people here that do follow our coaches and players, ect would just post more on here about what different people say so we could all stay updated more often.

Please????

Same here. Didn't think I would like Twitter but I love it. I follow VolNation on Twitter --that's how I access this site
