UT Girls, Kentucky and Georgia Making Big Splash in NCAA

I'll disagree somewhat. I have no problem with Georgia going, but I do not want UK in the Final 4. Their fans legitimately believe they have passed UT by and are now the elite program in the SEC.

If this were true, they would have stepped up and won the SECT after UT lost.

If it came down to The Lady Vols vs UK or UConn in the finals, wouldn't you rather play UK?

No I wouldn't because the opportunity to beat Tennessee in so many sports (except Mens Basketball) brings out the competitive juices in Kentucky like none one else does.

Its a lopsided rivalry in the sense that UT doesn't get up for those games in the same way UK does. Those are dangerous situations...

I would LOVE to see kentucky beat ct.--and I'm certain the vast majority of UT fans feel the same. I can't see it happening unless kentucky plays its best game of the season as this is a very good ct. team. The odds of notre dame and ct. both getting beat would be about 50-1, maybe higher.

Agree. Would be so much more at ease if Ky knocked out Conn. Then I wouldn't have to worry about them getting an 8th NC. To be realistic, both ND and Conn are much stronger than any others remaining in the mix and I dislike ND much less than I dislike Conn.
But how many times can ND beat Conn in such close games? 3 of 3 has been nice, but can they make it 4 out of 4? Chances are both ND and Conn will win their regions so I am hoping ND can knock out Conn once more.

Too bad UK hasn't shown up yet. They are getting trounced by UConn 48-26 at the half.

Kentucky should be playing better but one wonders why UConn always gets to play home games every year in the NCAA all the way to the final four. I am thinking they will play Notre Dame again hopefully they can beat UConn for the fourth time.

UConn doesn't play afraid of KY's defense the way we do- they attack it. With Griner and Baylor gone look for UConn to get #8. I hope not but I don't know if I see them losing to ND 4 times. If somehow TN were to make it to a final against UConn, Geno would try to embarrass TN and I'm not so sure that we could stop it.

I agree with what you are saying 100%. But i believe if the Vols had a perfect game they could beat Geno in the finals.

One of those big SEC splashes became a big splat. Bad karma.

If the Lady Vols can get there against uconn, this would be the year to do it even as heavy underdogs. It's not going to get easier next year since they only lose one starter and one end of bench player. Would be an interesting game. Would like to see the two speed demons, Simmons and Jefferson match up.

The Cal girl was by herself, 1 on 5, and they had three timeouts and didn't call one.

Looks like it's up to Tennessee to uphold the honor of the SEC.
Final 4: Pac12, Big East are in.
Vying for the last 2 spots: 2 Big East, I ACC, and us.

Sounds like georgia choked. Cal started the game 1-18 from the floor and was behind by 10 points. Georgia should have put the hammer down, but obviously couldn't do it.

Both teams were pathetic. Hard to believe it was an NCAA tournament game.

Georgia and Kentucky gone were the only team left hopefully we move on a get and SEC team in the final four.
