UT Handmade Rug

I'm deployed in an area of Afghanistan known for making some pretty decent custom carpets. I was going to get one made here in the next few days as a keepsake.

I've found a few designs online that I've picked through, but was going to throw it out to see if Volnation had some good ideas/ designs. I think the football checkboard endzones would look great incorporated somewhere on the carpet. Remember this is going to be handmade so extremely elaborate designs or actual photographs probably won't work too well.

Once it is finished and I get back to somewhere with a decent internet connection, I'll be sure to post up pictures for everyone to see.

I agree. My MIL made a quilt like this except she put the old UT interlocking symbol in the middle of the field and it looks INCREDIBLE. I still need to have her get the quilt backed.

I think a similar thing with power T would look FANTASTIC in an Afghan.
