I looked for fifteen minutes and couldn't find one instance of it <_<

is being forgotten. Best way to get your name in front of recruits is to take on the big boys. Sure you get smacked some, but play a few close or win one or two and you start making a name for yourself.

I'm sure there were folks dreading that trip to Texas in '06. That game provided the momentum and confidence an unproven team needed to begin the most successful era of basketball in Tennessee history.

I love tough schedules.

After watching most of those teams play, factoring in their style, I think our defense can keep us in games with Duke, Pitt, Florida and Vandy. I see a difficult time staying with UK, Memphis and UConn. Time will tell!!!

Thought the same about Duke until they played M State.
Their bigs will wear us out in the 2nd half.

I really hope Cuonzo doesn't shy away from games like these. I love it, and love the competition even if it means a couple more losses. You'll be that much more prepared come tournament time

In Coach Martin's three years at Missouri State, they only played one top 25 team - Tennessee. Maybe teams were dodging them, but it looks like he could have put together something with Purdue at least.

The only thing I've seen under his watch is the Wake Forrest series. Anything else? Really hope we continue this tough scheduling too.

Don't forget we may play Memphis again...either them or Michigan in second round of Maui Inv. Should make us a lock!

This will be a major test for our defense. Duke is extremely disciplined and poised. I imagine we'll be able to tell a major difference under a summer with Martin and how disciplined our post will be. If they are overly aggressive and don't play smart, Plumlee and Co will make it a long night. I expect a loss but I hope it's at least competitive. Playing close with a few of these teams that should run us out of the gym will really go far with this teams confidence. Duke looked vulnerable at times last year when they'd get hit in the mouth. They just clicked like crazy in March and I give the credit to Coach K for keeping them motivated and focused.

Tennesee will find out a lot about Trae Golden's improvement after he goes against some of Duke's guards.

Ehh. I didn't see any that looked like amazing defenders. Curry's a mediocre on ball defender at best. MSU's kid went right by curry about 4 or 5 straight possessions. If Dawkins hadn't had a career night, duke would have been in a world of trouble against a bad Michigan state team.

I see us winning 12 games this season.
(1) UNC Green (2) La. Monroe (3) Austin Peay (4) C of Charleston (5) UNC Asheville (6) E.T.S.U. (7) Citadel (8) Chattanooga (9) Auburn (10) Auburn (11) USC (12) U$C
Vandy lost to Cleveland State & Bucknell so they may be over rated. At best, we win one agame against Vandy to make it 13 wins.

You really think this team could win 13 games, 5 conference games? Wow!! Don't see how that could possibly happen.
