Infamy: That is the route Tennessee is taking early in this season. With its football and baseball teams under NCAA investigation, the Vols' hoops team has joined the fray, with its coach, Bruce Pearl, admitting he lied to NCAA investigators. And to start a season in which everyone is going to be asking how the investigation is affecting the team, Tennessee lost to Division II Indianapolis in its first exhibition game. And the Vols lost ugly, 79-64, with 25 turnovers and crummy free throw shooting.

I know the negative pub isnt fun to hear but Bruce and his teams have always thrived on being an "underdog". I think they will use this kind of stuff as motivation cant wait to see what the season has in store

I agree with you.. but the one thing they have right is that any and all woes on the basketball court this year will automatically spark the "Bruce Pearl Saga". We will have to hear this mess all year
