They are two holes behind the group in front of them and two of the professional threesome want help looking for lost balls. I think I'd be pissed off too.

Sounds like it was two guys who didn’t have any business being there paired with a complete jerk.

Ive played a lot of tournament golf and had to play with plenty of folks I thought were a-holes. You just get to a point where you interact with them as little as possible and play your game. I can’t imagine calling somebody out during a competition because they weren’t helping me enough to find my crappy shots. It’s comical to fall 2 holes out of position and blame it on somebody not helping you enough to find your own ball.

All three of them played D1 collegiate golf. I know the one guy shot 79. Doesn’t say what the other one was through 8 or whatever, but they probably weren’t complete scrubs and should know how the game is played. Furthermore when your group is put on the clock it doesn’t matter who is the one losing balls. If anything should motivate you to help find your playing partners lost ball. And on the tee if it’s clearly becoming an issue you tell them to hit a provisional.

And to your point, these guys are playing in a Korn Ferry qualifier. I doubt the guy who refused to look for lost balls hasn’t experienced his share of bad rounds. He played at UT Martin, the other two played at Colorado and UAB.

Guess some of you have not watched much PGA golf. The players always help the other players in their group look for errant shots. If PGA players can do it than I think players at this level scan do it.

On the Pga tour they have the benefit of volunteers and patrons lining the holes. But regardless it’s something that’s done at all levels.

I'm not required to help anyone look for their golf ball, I do so out of respect..........and depending on the circumstances, to make sure they really find it or don't.

I stated in another thread.........I've seen fights and even a gun pulled on someone on the golf course, but NEVER in a real tournament. It's oneof the crazier things I've ever heard of. Can't wait to talk to UTM's coach and see what UTM, the OVC, or the NCAA will do as punishment.
