UT > SCe > UF, Ergo...

OP, WTF are you talking about.

Some really smart posters on here have pointed out that the transitive property doesn't apply to college football.

We have before, we will again IMO.

Now, dont ask the next logical question which is will we ever beat UF again?

Looks like UF is replacing UT as experts in finding ways to lose. Gen. Neyland would see an opportunity there

Including me.

I just wish we were playing UF next week rather than 2 months ago.

We knock out their starting QB, the rest of the league feasts on the backup (and now, his backup), but we lose the game bc the only offense the backup can run (I.e., run for your life) is one we're not prepared for. Oy.

You really think that with Dobbs at QB that we could beat UF on the road? Nothing against Dobbs but that ain't happnin'!

You remember the Peterman experiment? It would be mucho different now with Dobbs. No worries, gators have to play Dobbs in our house next season.

Worley will be back and healthy next season, and will be a senior QB with a ton of experience so I would imagine he will be the starter again. And unless Dobbs can figure out how to get in the end zone he'll be battling for second/third string with the others.

No way Worley is the starter next year.

Why?

They look pretty much like the same team we played

Breaking Driskel's leg cost UT that game. Who our QB would have been is irrelevant.

I agree with a previous poster about the "Experiment". I'm not FOR SURE who has gotten better or worse, but our first half with trying out a new quarterback was a killer.......... of course I do have 20:20 hindsight.

I'm getting tired of the "they won because we weren't prepared for their second string QB" argument. That makes absolutely no sense. If it did, then some crafty coach would just start switching QBs at random points in the game. But coaches have starters and usually play only one QB for a reason- they give their team the best chance to win.

I believe those teams whose QBs get injured end up winning despite the injuries for other reasons. But I would rather have to face a teams second string QB any day of the week, especially if it's because the starter was just injured in the first quarter of play. The new QB is going to be a lot less prepared to play us than we are to play him, not to mention all the timing with the other members of his team.

We lost to UF despite Driskel getting hurt in the fisrt quarter, not because of it!

Boy, you really don't care for Dobbs, do you?

I like Dobbs and he'll be good. However playing on the road in the SEC, especially at places like UF is very tough.

There was no pressure on Dobbs against Bama. That was the perfect scenario to get his feet wet. Then we saw a different player at Mizzou but that was a completely different scenario where he started the game.

When you have a FR at QB you have to take pressure off of him with a great running game. UT can't do that.

You remember the Peterman experiment? It would be mucho different now with Dobbs. No worries, gators have to play Dobbs in our house next season.

That's the 1st thing that popped into my mind. It's a lot different going into the Swamp as starting QB vs mop up duty against APSU and Oregon.
