This will be one physical game. Nice test early in the season.

I approve. Makes me a little nervous though.

Can't freaking wait to see what our team looks like.

Yeah, I'm all for a tough schedule, but our's this year is over the top. Probably a little too tough. The SEC will be a breeze after getting through the OOC schedule.

Remember listening to John Ward call the Xavier game on radio in about 1975. We lost at the wire I think. Always had them in the back of my mind for years. Hope we get em' again in TBA.

I was there last time they beat X in TBA. Was awesome. One of Buzz's highlights.

Yeah it was year after Romain Sato led Xavier to elite 8. I was sitting behind press area and was loud as all get out and some dude reporting for Xavier I suppose yelled at me ans said "when was the last time you guys were any good sit down". I laughed and laughed hard.

I disagree I think that was one of the best things pearl did was his scheduling and I'm happy it looks like Zo believes in a strong schedule also...if we can't compete with these teams, we probably don't deserve to be in the NCAA tournament anyways.

How so? There are only a few games against teams likely to be in the preseason Top 25 (Memphis, one likely in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off). Xavier and Virginia should be tough road games (all road games against good competition are tough), but Tennessee should be better than both of those teams. Wichita State is completely rebuilding from last season. Other than that, it's just the usual slate of mid-majors, although Belmont and Oakland are usually tough. That seems like a solid schedule, but not an overly difficult one.

Possibly UMASS and NC State
Belmont
Oakland
Georgetown
Memphis
Virginia
Xavier
Witchita State

rumor of either Michigan, Michigan State, or Indiana

Possibly more ranked teams in OOC than in SEC

Whoops, I forgot about the Georgetown game. Sorry.

Still, I think it's a fairly tough schedule, but not one that's overly difficult. The best part about it is that it doesn't have any SOS killers, which will definitely help in March.

Personally i like the schedule. Some very tough teams, but not many that we shouldn't be favored against and shouldnt win. Yes it's a lot of tough games, but as already mentioned the good thing is no schedule killers.

Great news!!! This really gets me hyped because Xavier is always tough and should be an excellent opponent right before conference play tips off.

Also, CCM seems to be nailing the scheduling down. I was really worried about not getting any decent games but with what I've seen so far, he seems to be picking up right where Bruce left off.

Yeah I was a little concerned with scheduling as well, but we have a packed one. I actually may even wish it weren't so tough. But you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, and that just increases our chances for upsets/quality wins.

Anyone else really excited about this season?
