"We just look at the mistakes and then carry on," Vols defensive tackle Daniel Hood said. "There were so many mistakes in that game that it didn't give a good representation of our team. We just look at why we weren't ready to play. Why didn't we have the right energy? Why weren't we in our gaps at the right times?"

Those questions have been addressed in practice this week, and they'll need to have answers by the time Saturday night's game at 10th-ranked Missouri kicks off.

Baa dictated the pace and the game. You let that happen, you lose.

Let's just hope the line is disruptive. If you can get pressure up front it helps the entire defense because decisions and throws are rushed. It's partly why we were successful against USC.

I hope Jancek was also questioning why he didn't call an aggressive game against the best team in the country like he did against GA and SC.

If they have to tackle an athletic player, we lose.

They've tackled much better this year, but they were definitely tight last week and that makes it difficult to perform well. They have to find a way to play loose and upbeat on the road.

You know what, I was wondering the same damn thing. Did we call any blitzes or anything aggressive. The only person that played their A off was AJ. Regardless of what some people think he's balling out this year but my God our defense looked sad. It was an utter embarrassment.

Yeah, it's a good thing SC didn't have any athletic players. Phew, dodged a bullet there (dripping with sarcasm).

They didnt know to just run whatever qb they had or snap the ball & immediately throw to the receiver & watch him run for a td.

What?! He can't cover. Can't get off blocks. S L O W. If a guy runs right at him or somebody else slows them down he's ok though.
